Fun week on the mission front!!
This week has been crazy! It really is hard to remember all the things that happen in a week. Oh well, so this week in short: Things with Rosa seemed to be going really well, and then things started to fall apart. She was happy and determined about finishing it with Jorge, and then things changed. Saturday night when we went over there after she had talked to Jorge about having him move out of their house and into the apartment that she inherited, she told us that she wasn´t going to be able to go to church the next day because he didn´t want her too. She decided to move into her moms house just down the street for the time being. The next day, during sacrament meeting, my companion got a phone call from her. When she went back to her house that morning, Jorge had gone crazy and broken all of her things (cellphone, tv, everything). So, she ran away with her 4 yr son for her apartment. Since then, things have been a little crazy in our lives too. The members in our ward think that we tried to split up their family so they think we are mean. Also, my companion felt like Jorge might come after us (which I feel is kind of ridiculous), so we decided to go spend this week up in Barreto, the area right next to ours, at the apt of the other missionaries in our district. So far that has been fun. Yesterday I got to go on splits with Elder Babcock from San Diego California. It was fun. He has only been out 5 months so he still understands how I feel and he is more relaxed. We had a great day and it was fun too! So once again more pictures. As you will see, I also uploaded a beautiful picture of the peanut butter cookies that I made (1 egg, 1 c sugar, 1 c peanut butter). They were delicious. I think that next p day I will make chocolate chip cookies!
